We keep getting asked for rye bread - and now we have experimented with these flavours we can understand why! This is good with stronger meats and cheeses, pickles - and sweeter flavours too - whatever you can heap up on thin slices of this flavoursome, dense, chewy bread. This is the "black bread" of eastern european legend with the colour coming from rich, dark organic molasses. It may not look very exciting but the flavour is something special! There is no wheat flour in this recipe but with lots in the bakery we can't guarantee that there will be no traces present - but it will only be a trace. |
